The Market’s Beauties. Part 1

Tista…Tista…Tistaaa, I’m calling you! “boss!” That was me; my boss was calling, but I couldn’t take my eyes off this lady… Wow! 😁

A friend once told me, “If you want to see beautiful ladies, go to the market.”

So, here I am in the heart of Accra’s busy business area, right at the junction where Kojo-Thompson Road meets Kimbu Street. This place is full of life. While I was bargaining over the price of a pair of trousers, I found myself lost in a scene that felt almost unreal. My boss was just a few steps away, talking to one of our suppliers.

The market was alive with bright colors, smells, and sounds, creating an exciting atmosphere. Stalls, filled with all kinds of goods, called out to people walking by, showing off their items in an attractive variety. From rich fabrics brought from other places (including the Togo jeans I bought 😁) to shiny trinkets that sparkled like stars, every corner of the market had something unique and tempting. The voices of traders, the clinking of coins, and the laughter all blended into a melody that touched the soul.

In the middle of this busy, noisy market, I found myself amazed by the beauty of the women around me. As I stood at that busy junction, my eyes met a stunning lady… She had smooth, fair skin, and her beauty was captivating. Her eyes sparkled, revealing a sense of mystery. Her lips curved with a tempting smile (wow 😁). She stood with a graceful posture that drew attention without saying a word. – My boss joked as we left…, “Like you for take ein number” 😂

And her hair, oh, her hair was something special. It was short and curly. Each curl seemed to bounce with joy, celebrating her unique style.

As I kept looking around, more beautiful ladies walked by… Their movements were graceful, Swaying their bodies left and right, almost like they were gliding, changing the ordinary market into a realm of enchantment.

But despite their beauty, not everyone noticed. The market, full of activity, had its people focused on business. Traders were busy haggling, shoppers were carefully checking goods, and the noise of transactions filled the air.

Yet, in the middle of all this, my focus was on these lovely ladies. It felt like a spell had been cast, their presence keeping me transfixed, pulling me away from the busy market into a world of beauty and charm.

Hold on… Here comes another one—a picture of elegance passing by. Tall and graceful, she moved like a dancer, each step full of style. Her eyes were deep and thoughtful, showing a quiet wisdom… 😆. The soft curve of her cheek was so smooth, I wished I could peck. Her outfit, simple yet beautiful, fit her perfectly, making everyone, including my boss, take notice. 😀.

With each woman that passed by, the market revealed another story of grace and beauty, the Kayayei, the bend-down boutique sorters, the fishmongers, etc. Some looked timeless, as if they came from another era, wearing traditional clothes with patterns that told stories of Ghanaian heritage. Others had a modern, Western-style, most of which were from the bend-down boutiques, full of confidence with their trendy outfits and accessories like sunglasses and earpods.

The market, alive with dreams and goals, invited admiration. It was a place where each passerby became a moment of beauty, leaving behind admiration. The magic in the air was real, and it was clear that amidst the market’s busy chaos, something special was happening, well, maybe I was the only one enchanted. lol.

As I watched these beautiful women walk by, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the beauty around us every day. In the middle of the busy market, I was amazed by their charm, each one showing the diverse and breathtaking beauty that surrounds us.

To be continued…
